Port Of Marina Di Carrara Mooring Dolphin
The project included:
- The extension of the Taliercio Quay, with the aim of creating new berths and apron areas to ensure proper port operations even in the case of the simultaneous presence of cruise ships and long bulk carriers;
- The reconfiguration of the vertical profile of the head of the Services Quay to ensure the necessary space for the safe entry and exit of the port for the projected vessels;
- The installation of a mooring bollard (breasting dolphin) approximately 60 meters from the current edge of the Taliercio Quay for the safe mooring of cruise ships.
The extension of the Taliercio Quay and the “verticalization” of the head of the inner breakwater are considered infrastructure upgrades, both aimed at improving the usability of the port and the coexistence of existing commercial and cruise traffic.
