“Tartaglia” University Residence Requalification
The project involves the comprehensive requalification of the “Tartaglia” University Residence in Padua, a 1970s building located in Padua and decommissioned since 2012.
The intervention was necessary to recover a property in a state of abandonment, characterized by widespread deterioration, obsolete systems, and non-compliance with current regulations regarding safety, energy efficiency, and accessibility.
The primary objective is to return a modern, safe, and functional structure to the student community through an integrated design approach that combines structural, energy, and environmental sustainability aspects.
- Sustainable Materials: Use of recyclable, recycled, and certified materials.
- Interiorfinishes, for example, include the use of products with a high recycled content and very low emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).
- Waste Management: The construction site management plan was developed with the goal of recovering at least 70% by weight of the non-hazardous waste produced, achieved through selective demolition and the separation of fractions at the source.
- Resource Efficiency: he installation of a photovoltaic system and the adoption of highefficiency plant systems contribute to reducing the consumption of primary resources.
- Durability and Maintenance: The selection of low-maintenance materials and technical solutions ensures the long-term economic and environmental sustainability of the work.
